About Me

I am a wife and a full time working mom of two beautiful daughters.  They are the light of my life!  I love them more than anything and I want to be a good role model to them!

Ryan and I were married in October, 2004.  He is an amazing husband and father.  I am so thankful that he is in my life every single day.  We love to travel together; we go on vacations at least once a year alone without our girls - and we also try to have a date night out at least once per month.  We have been doing this since Isabelle was an infant and our girls don't really mind much when we leave them with one of their grandmas (since they get pretty spoiled with them!).  We are very fortunate that we have family willing and able to watch our girls - I know not everyone is as lucky to have that support system.

When I had Isabelle in March 2006 I gained almost 60 pounds.  I don't think I have EVER written that down before (gross).  I was retaining so much water by the end of my pregnancy; I was so swollen everywhere.  My husband started calling me Tumnus from The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe because my ankles were no longer visible - such a gem!  I had a C-section with Isabelle and I dropped 25lbs in 2 weeks after having her - most of that water.  But, I only went on to lose about 15 more pounds until I got pregnant again at the beginning of 2007.

I gained another 30 pounds when I was pregnant with Lauren, and was back up close to the same weight as with Belle.  I wasn't retaining as much water as with Belle, but I also knew that I wasn't likely to drop 25lbs right after my C-section with her.  I love this picture of Isabelle kissing my tummy, she loved doing that and talking to her baby sister before she was born!

Oct 2007

I have been struggling to get back down to about what I weighed when I got married since Lauren was born in 2007.  I still have about 25 pounds to lose to get back to that weight; which is why I decided to start documenting my journey.  I wanted a way to keep myself on track and accountable through the ups and downs of weight loss and life.

I'm a new blogger and I look forward to meeting many new people through this journey.
Thanks for stopping by!
